A Mentor works with a group of 2-4 Mentees to provide guidance in their job search in Toronto/GTA. Each Mentee will be doing specific activities and interacting with their Mentor and fellow Mentees.

UnstoppableMe in partnership with JVS Toronto runs a Group Mentoring Program for internationally-trained professionals looking for a job.

Purpose: A Mentor works with a group of 2-4 Mentees to provide guidance in their job search in Toronto/GTA. Each Mentee will be doing specific activities and interacting with their Mentor and fellow Mentees.

Unique value: This program is different from one-on-one mentoring in the sense that mentees can form a network where they can share their experiences, information, and support each other even after the program is finished.

Time commitment: attend a kick-off meeting (~2 hours) and several mentoring meetings that total approx. 10 hours throughout 2-3 months.

 >Mentee: an internationally-trained professional looking for work in their field and legally entitled to work in Canada (Work Permit holder, Permanent Resident, Convention Refugee, or Canadian citizen) It is not limited to any particular profession.

>Mentor: a professional currently working in their field and willing to coach/support a small group of mentees (2-5 people) for the duration of the program which is 2-3 months. Most mentors have 3 or more years of work experience in Canada, although this is not a must.

>Cost: completely FREE to participate.  Materials are provided by JVS Toronto at no cost.

>Timing: we launch a new group approx. every 3 months, depending on how many people sign up and the availability of mentors.
