On May 4th, 2019, UnstoppableMe celebrated its 4th Anniversary
It was a great opportunity to recognize all the amazing work we do together to help newcomers and immigrants succeed.

It is through UnstoppableMe I understood the importance of Networking and how important is it to have a mentor who can vouch, support, and guide you. Just wanted to share that I got an offer from HSBC in Vancouver and will be starting work first week of May – I’m getting ready to move there! Thanks for all your help and advice along the way.
To start, Liliana Nakamura, current President of the organization, talked about the exponential growth since 2015 and current state of members and programs.
After that, the Founder, Miguel Abascal presented the A.S.A.P. Survey which was made with one of the grants awarded by the Government of Ontario. ASAP is our acronym for Accelerate Success, Advancement and Progress. The survey’s objective is to assess people’s readiness for the job market in Canada, and can be taken before landing or as a newcomer. It takes approx. 10 minutes to complete, and the results are shown on an online dashboard that compares one’s efforts against the behaviours and attitudes of successful immigrants.
Later, we celebrated our volunteers and partners by giving them a token of appreciation, and there was time to network with all attendees.
