Unstoppable Liliana Nakamura

Under Liliana’s leadership since January 2018, UnstoppableMe grew exponentially and got enormous visibility in Toronto’s immigrant community and beyond. These are some of the many results we can highlight:

Liliana wrote an article describing her experience as an Unstoppable President during these 3 years – make sure to check it out!

If you interacted with her in different capacities, feel free to send her a thank-you note through LinkedIn or email.

She continues in the organization as an Advisor and Mentor, and managing the Group Mentoring Program

Liliana is an HR Consultant and Project Manager with extensive experience in organizational development, talent management strategies, and change management. As a life-long learner with a curious, sociable personality, she has taken a variety of interesting roles professionally and interacted with people from all over the world.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and fluent in three languages, she has built a solid international career in her home country, Japan, and Canada. In Japan, she worked with numerous global organizations to plan, design, and implement their talent strategies for long-term impact. She also obtained an MBA from McGill University while working full-time in Tokyo –by the way, not everyone knows that a renowned Canadian university has classrooms in Tokyo!

After landing in Toronto in 2012, she continued working in talent management consulting and obtained the CHRP and PMP designations. Since 2016, Liliana has been volunteering with a diverse organization called UnstoppableMe and mentoring newcomers through TRIEC and CultureLink. She also serves as a Board Member of the Immigrant Writers Association and Event Manager of LinkedInLocal North York.

In 2019, she co-authored the anthology book “Building Bridges”, the first of its kind, where 14 immigrants in Canada tell their stories through fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Liliana’s chapter, “Bridging Talent and Opportunities” includes the story of how she started volunteering with UnstoppableMe as well as two success stories of new immigrants.

Outside of work, Liliana enjoys reading, writing, trying new restaurants, running and traveling.
